If the clock strikes 1:09 a.m., turn over and hope they think you're still asleep.

The title says a lot about it. How strange it is that you want to know who "they" are. It's your close friends or family. I have never heard of something like this before. What can I do about it? Other than act like I'm asleep, of course. That's the only thing I can think of that will make them follow the rules. Let's look at what has been going on for the past three nights. Because I thought my family might be joking with me, I didn't think much about it the first night. That night, my wife hit me.

My wife Julia and my twin boys Ray and Ryan went to bed pretty early on the first night. We were all cold and out by 9 p.m. because we had worked hard all day cutting wood to get ready for winter. That night, when I woke up, the house was strangely quiet. It felt like everyone had left the house, leaving me alone. It was 1:09 a.m. when I looked at my phone. I turned over to see if my wife was still asleep. When I saw that the bed was empty, I got out of bed and looked around. The only light in the house was the dim hall light by my son's room, which I left on. With that light, I could see three shadows on the wall of the hall, where my bedroom door was left open.

I woke up and called out to Julia. All three of the shadows in the room moved quickly as if they were scared. When I called out again, this time a little louder, all three heads turned to look at me. I got a chill up my spine. "What the heck is going on?" I told myself as I pulled back the covers and got up to see what was going on. I limped towards the door on my toes because I felt sick. When I got there, I took a quick peek and was very scared. Julia stood there like a figure, head down and neck straining to look straight at me. Her back was turned towards the boys' room. She had big smiles on her face the whole time.

"What the hell are you guys doing?" I asked with a laugh because I thought they were joking.

It didn't make much sense to me at the time to think they were joking. They didn't even know if I'd wake up in the middle of the night, so why would they do that?

When I spoke, I heard their bodies move in a strange way, which made me jump back in surprise. I began to think that something might be wrong at this point. I felt scared and started to sweat. Then I jumped and let out a startled yell when the clock on the microwave beeped as if it were reset. My boys turned around right away and went back to their room. Julia did the same. She walked by me like a zombie and then crawled back into bed, breathing like she had been asleep the whole time. Her smile was gone. I walked back to my side of the bed and looked at my phone to see what time it was.

I checked the time when I woke up at 1:10 in the morning. It had been at least five minutes since I woke up.

As I went back to sleep, I told myself that I would tell Julia about their joke later that day.

Everything was fine when I woke up the next morning. I could smell bacon and eggs cooking in the kitchen while the boys played in the living room.

After getting up and leaving, I smiled as I thought about their joke. I said, "Good morning, you jerks!"

They all just stared at me, not sure what was going on. "What was that last night?" my wife finally asked. You all looked at me with smiles in the hall? It was good. It made me a little scared. I said while shaking my head. "Don't joke around like that, Ryan." "You know how those scary stories about smiling people scare me?" Julia told him off. "Hey, you're the one who's trying to scare me at night." It made me laugh. "By the way, why did the phones stop last night at 1:09? It was a nice touch.

My family thought I was crazy. They all started yelling at the same time that it wasn't funny and that it scared me. I didn't understand. That wouldn't explain the time, though. I wasn't sure if everyone was still in on it or if they were all sleep walking.

"OK, OK!" I told her, "I must have dreamed! "Don't be mad at me, Jesus Christ!"

It wasn't a dream when I turned back into the field, feeling even more confused than before. What did everyone really think about this joke, or did they forget about it?

I chose to leave it alone for the night. They would be caught on camera on my phone, so if they tried again, their joke would be over right away.

I was happy with my plan, so I went home. Julia was running business in town while the boys split and stacked wood. When I got home, it was almost time for dinner, so I charged my phone and got it ready.

After a few hours, I woke up to the same creepy silence that had been in the house all night. I felt a strong rush of energy, and I was filled with fear. I picked up my phone and turned it on. The time was 1:19 in the morning. My phone froze when I tried to record it.

I looked into the hall and saw the same shapes I had seen the night before, but they were a little closer this time. Julia and the guys were facing me, and their smiles were even bigger this time. Their eyes were wide open and full of blood, and they were only about 5 feet away. Almost all of the technology in the house seemed to be stopped, which made the fear stronger.

I got back up and turned my head towards the door. I almost screamed, but I looked away to keep my mouth shut.

All three of them took a huge step towards me as soon as I put my hand over my mouth. After I took a big step back, they took another big step towards me. This time, they did it because Julia was taller than them and came ahead of them. She was now about 5 feet away from me. Her eyes were wide open, and she looked so happy. As I turned to go back to bed, I heard loud booms coming after me. I felt these big blows hit me in the back, much harder than any of them should have been able to.

What the heck! I thought because my back hurt. It was now morning, and I pulled the covers over my head. I was going to hit my wife. I know it's childish. The hits stopped, though, and I thought I heard Julia breathing, though it was much deeper and rougher. After that, no one breathed, and there was quiet.

I could barely make out what Julia said, but I think it was something like, "I know you're not asleep."
