I'm a 23-year-old man. The area where I live is pretty safe, and I always lock my doors. It looks like I didn't last night.

It wasn't long after I took my dogs for their last walk and turned off the lights and TV when one of them started barking. Not too strange, since he does that to some people when they walk by the house, not all of them. After that, I heard the front door open and someone come in. After that, my dog barked. My other dog, who is friendly with everyone, ran from the other room to meet our guest.

At the same time, I saw what was going on and thought, "What the fuck?" What do you look like?"

A man in his mid- to late-20s was standing in the hall. He was tall and thin. "Um, oh wait... "I believe I am not in the correct location." He really looked confused. "No, you're not," I told her. Get out of here!"

He said he was sorry and that he went to the wrong place by accident because he was going to hang out with a friend. When I asked him what house he was looking for, he gave me a number that was very close to mine. He said sorry again and left. Even though he seemed friendly and not dangerous, I was still a little scared.

I was ready to laugh it all off this morning. I was going to tell my neighbour, a thirty something pair, what happened. I don't know all of them very well, but we've talked before. When I took my dogs for a walk, I caught one of them.
