THIS CONTENT HAS SUICIDE THOUGHTS IN IT

A lot of my 13-year-old self was stupid, so I spent a lot of time on an app called MySpace that is no longer out there. There were community groups and private texts where you could talk to people online. It worked a lot like a less polished version of Discord.

To give you some background, I was a bit of a "troubled" kid. I grew up in a broken home where my parents were rarely around, and I was picked on pretty badly all through middle school. TeenXDrip was a MySpace group where I found comfort. As you might guess, it was a place to talk about fashion and style trends in the middle of the 2010s. I think that most of the people I met on that server were much older men now that I'm older and smarter. It was meant to be a place for people ages 13 to 18.

I met a guy named Larry on the computer. He is 17 years old. I can't remember what his MySpace username was, but I do remember that he was a nice and interesting person in our group. I told him everything about myself and we talked almost every day for two years. As soon as I started high school, when I was 14, the bullying and problems at home got worse. I never got an expert diagnosis, but I think I was depressed. It started to bother me that I might kill myself. When I told Larry about it, he seemed to understand.

I understand. This world is really a mess. I also sometimes think about stopping things.
